If you have ever tried to find a decaf coffee that is both organic and actually tastes good, you already know the struggle. There are not many options, and there is a simple reason for that: it is genuinely hard to source.
Most decaf starts with conventional coffee, not organic. Then it goes through a decaffeination process that often removes flavor along with caffeine. When you combine the difficulty of finding high-quality organic beans with the added step of decaffeination, the supply gets even smaller. Fewer farms, fewer processors, and fewer roasters are set up to do both well.
That is why truly organic decaf coffee is limited, and why many brands either skip decaf altogether or treat it as a secondary product.
We did not want to do either.
Why organic decaf costs more to make
Organic coffee already costs more to produce because of farming practices, certification, and lower yields. When you add decaffeination on top of that, the cost increases again. The process requires additional handling, specialized facilities, and more logistics.
From a business standpoint, it would make sense to either not offer decaf at all or to charge more for it.
We chose not to do that.
Our goal was simple: if someone chooses decaf because it works better for their body, they should not have to pay a premium for making that choice. So we kept our decaf priced the same as our regular coffee, even though it costs more for us to produce.
Decaf is not a secondary product for us
For many brands, decaf feels like a checkbox. Something they offer because customers ask for it, not because they are excited about it.
That is not how we approach it.
Our decaf uses the same standards as our regular coffee: organic beans, careful sourcing, and the same attention to testing and quality. And just as importantly, we did not remove what makes Mákor different.
Our decaf still includes our anti-inflammatory whole food ingredients: turmeric, ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, chaga, and cayenne. The same blend. The same philosophy. The same focus on daily, gentle support through real food.
Because decaf drinkers deserve the full Mákor experience, not a stripped-down version.
Why people choose decaf and why that choice matters
People choose decaf for many reasons. Better sleep, less anxiety, pregnancy, sensitivity to caffeine, or simply wanting coffee later in the day without feeling wired.
Choosing decaf is not about loving coffee less. It is about listening to your body more.
We wanted our decaf to support that choice instead of making it feel like a compromise.
Still coffee, still comforting, still part of your daily ritual
At the end of the day, coffee is not just about caffeine. It is about routine, comfort, and that moment of calm before the day gets busy.
Our decaf is designed to fit into that same ritual. It brews like normal coffee, tastes like real coffee, and delivers the same functional ingredients that make Mákor what it is.
No downgrade. No backup option. Just a version of coffee that works better for some people, at some stages of life, or at certain times of day.
And we think that deserves just as much care as any other cup.
